37 Million Minutes – an Adventure Travel Series
37 MILLION MINUTES is the average number of minutes we, as human beings, have to spend on this earth. 37 MILLION MINUTES is also the title of our new adventure travel show.
In today's world it seems that now more than ever people are searching for some meaning in life — 37 MILLION MINUTES follows Bill Marquez, a highly successful entrepreneur who goes around the world in search of something more meaningful than the millions he has amassed in his bank account.
As he searches the globe we get a sense of what brings happiness and fulfillment to the people of the world. Here's the twist ... Bill is an atheist. However, he's an atheist who is searching ... searching for some meaning, not necessarily a religion or belief system, but a clue as to why we are here. He is willing to propel himself into all possible arenas no matter how absurd or abstract. Future episodes will find Bill tackling difficult issues and exploring beliefs like the Cargo Cults on the Island of Vanuatu; Voodoo and spirit possession on the island of Curacao and "Dreaming" with the Aboriginal people in the Outback. Along his travels we'll be introduced to remote cultures, beautiful landscapes, outrageous adventure, fascinating people... and more...
Bill’s quest stems from the fact that he wants to know what these 37 Million Minutes are all about. He will also be exploring the various religions and belief systems from around the world. Although he has always, as many others before him, questioned the origins of the universe, the existence of God and gods, religion and all those other bigger questions, he never took the time to query as to why he is here or even who he is, that is, not until now. Thomas Jefferson’s mandate to question with boldness even the existence of a God; because, if there be one, he must more approve of the homage of reason, than that of blind-folded fear, has for a long time been his mantra, but hhe hungers to know what life is really all about. He questioned why Adam and Eve were always depicted with belly buttons. He went as far as to do the calculations on how large Noah’s Ark had to be in order to carry all those animals, (the approximate biblical dimensions of 450 feet long, 75 feet wide and 45 feet high would only be able to carry a fraction of all the world’s known animal species). Heavily pondered the problems associated with carrying the millions of termites and ants needed to feed the Aardvarks and Anteaters for the long voyage on this wooden cruise liner, and further, how the Koalas, Kangaroos and Wombats ever made it back to Australia all the way from the mountains of Ararat. Now he is ready to embrace something to fulfill his restless "soul", but what? Whatever it is it would need to make "sense" and somehow "touch" not only him but also the audience at home as well. In the meanwhile Bill will also be exploring how other people are spending their 37 million minutes and what brings them fulfillment and joy.
Come join us on this amazing journey!
